We won Office of the Year!

24 6 2021

Modern trends, 11 winners, 48 finalists and over 100 applicants. The biggest competition of the year focused on office design rewards companies that invest in their office spaces and actively strive to create an attractive, functional and pleasant environment for their employees. It is a great honour for us that Telegraph Hub received the Jury Prize, which is awarded across categories for an exceptional contribution to architecture and design.

Telegraph Hub is part of the multifunctional Telegraph Centre, whose construction is inspired by the industrial style of the First Republic of the last century. The building from 1908 underwent a complete reconstruction, led by the architectural team of Ječmen Studio under Lukáš Blažek. “I am thrilled and very grateful to the jury. I am glad that an office that is part of a multifunctional building has been recognised. A good working environment is being evaluated. The mix of functions – a top gallery, coworking space, café with a cinema, a studio for a guest artist, and upstairs a lounge with a rooftop garden. I am happy that we received a generous brief and a free hand from the investor. It is great that such projects are created in the region, outside the city centre and with private funding. Awakening sleeping buildings is something we enjoy at Ječmen Studio,” adds Lukáš Blažek.

The expert jury evaluated the interiors in terms of exceptional design, innovation (technological, material, practical), atmosphere, and above all the quality of the working environment and the satisfaction of employees’ needs. Across all categories, the jury also assessed the attractiveness of the work environment and how pleasant and comfortable the office is as a place to work.

The announcement took place both inside the Žofín Palace and in its adjacent gardens. Applications to the competition were submitted not only by the participating companies themselves but also by architectural studios. The competition was organised for the fifth time by Prochazka & Partners.
