Pavel Korbička
Space of Perception

gallery art exhibition

Pavel Korbička (*1972) works with light, space, movement and sound. In his work, he responds to the exceptionality and the hidden systems of particular spaces, which he tries to activate through the viewer’s individual perception. His creative work borders between sculpture, architecture, and scientific research.

Korbička graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (Sculpture-Space-Installation Studio of Prof. Stanislav Kolíbal, Studio of Conceptual Trends of Prof. Miloš Šejn). Since 1998, he has been working as a teacher of the Sculpture Studio 2 at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno.

At the Telegraph Gallery exhibition, he will presented a light site-specific installation made of polycarbonate plates. The visitor entered in and experience states of their own physical imbalance through the optical effects and binocular vision, which can lead to deeper self-awareness.
