A glorious past, a controversial present, a hopefully freer future awakening. A country where people are forced to create parallel lives, one often false in public and another, much truer, in the shadows of their dwellings. Iran is not the bastion of Islam that it seems, but it is certainly home to proud Persians who overflow with hospitality and concern for guests in their land. We went there to explore the lush mountains, ancient monuments and impressive cities. But mostly we returned with a head full of warm memories of encounters with humanity and friendship.

Radovan Jurka

If it weren't for the covid, he'd be in his twentieth season as a tour guide. He specializes in the USA, western Canada, New Zealand and selected countries in South America. In his spare time, he likes to freewheel his pilgrimage through life to places mostly in Asia and South America, though the western US is buried deepest under his skin. He likes to try to gain perspective on life on the ridges and in the valleys of mountain ranges.
