Rita Koszorús: Collage workshop

10 2 2025 | Autor: Agnesa Kiszkova

The Telegraph Gallery's February program will include a workshop with artist Rita Koszorús on February 15, 2025 at 3:00 pm at the Telegraph. The event is open to Telegraph Club members only and will offer participants an introduction to collage making led by the artist, who focuses on abstract painting and the thematization of identity, collective memory and the importance of painting in the context of contemporary art.

Why collage and why Rita Koszorús?

Rita, who is currently in the Telegraph's artist-in-residence program, enjoys experimenting with color, layers and different forms. She sees collage as a way to express ideas or emotions without being bound by strict rules or conventions. As an artist who has been a finalist in the prestigious Malba of the Year competition several times, she is able to look at the creative process from a fresh perspective.

During the workshop, she will introduce best practices, advise you on material selection, and help you engage your imagination so that the resulting work has a unique signature. The final form is entirely up to you: you can take the path of minimalist composition, or feel free to delve into expressive play with shapes and colours. The workshop is open to complete beginners as well as to those who already have some experience with art.
