We're obsessed with work and we're obsessed with film. Even in the summer.

The film club takes a break over the summer and the cinema shuttles between the air-conditioned cinema and the open-air summer atrium. Our dramaturgy team doesn't slack off either. We are literally obsessed with selecting the best films for summer evenings. And that's the theme of this summer's Telegraph Cinema line-up.

You'll see for yourself if you can be as obsessed as the main characters in the films you see with us. Every other Friday, when it's not Rooftop Fun. We've selected the best of legends and modern cult films. Just take your pick:

Fri 29 Aug 2025 FOUR ROOMS

Four hotel rooms, four stories and one receptionist just trying to do his job. The short story film FOUR ROOMS is the work of four directors who have recently become the most celebrated exponents of American independent cinema. The filmmakers shot four episodic stories set on New Year's Eve in the rooms of a Los Angeles hotel. Each story (and room) involves a newly minted hotel valet, Ted (Tim Roth). With fateful intransigence, the young man becomes an important player in a variety of strange and even bizarre events. Each of the directors wrote the script for their episode and, of course, applied their own poetics in the execution. The result is a highly eclectic spectacle in which different styles and genres alternate without much complementary effect. Robert Rodriguez's anecdote in particular stands out for its cinematic flair and imaginative approach. Because of the film's vague and undefined concept from the start, not even a number of well-known and famous actors can save the film artistically.

Well, if it rains, we'll go inside the cinema. Nothing can stop these screenings, come on in.
