The opening is inexorably approaching and the installation is in full swing!

On Thursday, December 14, 2023, the Telegraph Gallery will host the opening of our upcoming exhibition, Connection, featuring fifteen artists gifted with perception of the visible and invisible whose work, as the title suggests, presents connections to themselves as well as to the worlds around them. The exhibition, which you will be able to visit until 28 March 2024, was created in professional collaboration between Anežka Šimková and curator Terezie Zemánková. The architecture of the exhibition was designed by artist Mark Ther.

Karel Malich, the only non-living artist of the exhibition, became the central figure, for whom - as for the other exhibiting artists - drawing became the ideal medium of expression for an authentic record of perceptions. The artists' drawings were created in pencil, pastel or pen, but also in unconventional ways, such as with wire, in a process of connection through working alone, in the dark, in silence, during meditation, prayer, spiritual practice or the repetition of mantras and yoga exercises. The drawings present records of emotions or immersion in transpersonal processes and are maps of extra-sensory knowledge and energies. Artists who touch invisible energy flows, processes and entities in this way are Josef Duchan, Dagmar Havlíčková, Jan Hísek, Jana Kasalová, Jiří Kornatovský, Inge Kosková, Alžběta Krňanská, Tomáš Lampar, Karel Malich, Přemysl Martinec, Petr Nikl, Taja Spasskova, Anna Šimková, Margita Titlová Ylovsky and Marcela Vorlíčková.
