Giacomo Modolo (*1988) is an Italian visual artist whose practice revolves around painting, combining figurative precision with deconstructive gestures. His work reflects on the contemporary image and its saturation in the media landscape. Drawing from personal, public, and historical photographic sources, he constructs layered compositions where past and present, tragedy and irony, public and private intertwine. Through expressive brushwork and saturated color palettes, his paintings evoke a fragmented, timeless narrative. Modolo studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, where he completed a master’s degree in Decoration in 2013. He lives and works in Vicenza and has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows in Italy and abroad. Since 2018, he has led the Painting Research and Experimentation course at the Cignaroli Academy in Verona. He is represented by Crag Gallery, Turin.
