Romanian painter Radu Baies and his exhibition Searching For My Human Traces will be a sensitive analysis of the artist's typical work of the last five years and the culmination of his summer residency at the Telegraph. Radu explores the human being and its role in relation to the whole. To the Absolute, to Nature, to Time. He asks constant questions about the origin and direction of man as such. Man in his world is part of an unidealized landscape that is not merely a backdrop, but rather an integral part of it. Fundamental part of his work is the general presence of man in his paintings themselves. In a part of Radu Baies' paintings, man is not directly physically present, but his scale and traces of systematic activity perfectly substitute him in the result, thus indirectly referring to the existential content of this remarkable representative of the contemporary Cluj School of painting.
