Telegraph Studio accepts all art forms. The residency lasts 4-12 weeks. The artist's headquarters is a studio and an apartment right in the Telegraph premises. It also includes an accompanying program in the form of an open studio or opening reception.
CURRENT ARTIST ON RESIDENCE: KARÍMA AL-MUKHTAROVÁ
Karíma Al-Mukhtarová (*1989) studied under Jiří Kovanda at the Faculty of Art and Design in Ústí nad Labem, in the Intermedia Confrontation Studio of Jiří David at UMPRUM in Prague, and intermedia under Milena Dopitová at AVU, graduating in 2018. She won the Essel Art Award CEE for the Czech Republic in 2013. In 2019, she completed a several-month internship at CEAAC in Strasbourg, France. In 2023, she participated in a prestigious residency at Art Omi in New York. The main themes of her work include questions of identity and the socialisation process of the individual. Her works are represented in several prestigious collections, including the Prague City Gallery, the Aleš South Bohemian Gallery in Hluboká nad Vltavou, the Moravian Gallery in Brno, the Francis J. Greenberger Collection and COLLETT Prague | Munich.
