Alexander Tinei (*1967) is a Moldovan artist working in Budapest for several years. He is one of the most prominent personalities of the contemporary painting world. He works with photographic material found in the media and then places his figures in a new context. In his paintings, he deals with the relationship between time and the human body, and the figures are characterized by their colourful vividness. In addition to oil paintings, he also creates collages, acrylic paintings, watercolors, prints and installations. He has had solo exhibitions in New York, Vienna and Budapest, and has been part of group exhibitions in Prague, London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Basel and Frankfurt.
