On the red cliffs above the sea, childhood is measured by courage. Géo and his friends jump from rocks into the water until a rivalry enters their world, forcing them to jump into something much more dangerous - the world of first feelings.
A summer begins on the French Riviera, one that five-year-old Géo will certainly not forget. Together with a group of children, he discovers a world of red rocks, the sea and dangerous cliff jumps. However, when a rival group appears on the scene, the innocent children's adventure turns into a fight for territory. And something even stronger is born between the rivals - the first seeds of friendship, attraction and love. It is a kind of sun-drenched children's variation on Romeo and Juliet. Two opposing parties, a boy and a girl from opposite sides and a world in which children's games gradually begin to resemble adult conflicts. However, Bruno Dumont transforms Shakespeare's tragic passion into a story about first feelings, freedom and the desire to belong somewhere - without sentimentality, but with a large dose of humor, energy and tenderness. It is a unique cinematic view of childhood, which is at the same time an adventure, a story of first love and a small picture of the adult world.
