A summer begins on the French Riviera, one that five-year-old Géo will certainly not forget. Together with a group of children, he discovers a world of red rocks, the sea and dangerous cliff jumps. However, when a rival group appears on the scene, the innocent children's adventure turns into a fight for territory. And something even stronger is born between the rivals - the first seeds of friendship, attraction and love. It is a kind of sun-drenched children's variation on Romeo and Juliet. Two opposing parties, a boy and a girl from opposite sides and a world in which children's games gradually begin to resemble adult conflicts. However, Bruno Dumont transforms Shakespeare's tragic passion into a story about first feelings, freedom and the desire to belong somewhere - without sentimentality, but with a large dose of humor, energy and tenderness. It is a unique filmic view of childhood, which is at the same time an adventure, a story of first love and a small picture of the adult world.

Inspired by Refn’s own experience with near-death, this is his most personal film yet – a meditation on mortality, rebirth and transformation. Building on the neon aesthetic of Drive and Neon Demon, the film combines striking visual stylization, minimalist storytelling and surreal sci-fi visions with music by legendary Italian composer Pino Donaggio. Starring Sophie Thatcher, Charles Melton, Kristine Froseth and an international cast, the film had its world premiere in the Official Selection of the 2026 Cannes International Film Festival, bringing Nicolas Winding Refn back to the festival’s Croisette.
