In the aftermath of World War II, Josef Mengele, the Nazi doctor from Auschwitz, flees to South America to start a new life in seclusion. Through the eyes of his son, who tracks him down, Mengele is confronted with a past he can no longer ignore. From Buenos Aires across Brazil to Paraguay, the man who became known as the “Angel of Death” methodically engineers his own disappearance from the face of the earth across this vast expanse to evade any trial.
