In the Contemporary Art Collecting lecture series you will learn from successful and emerging collectors or curators and experts in contemporary art investment what impulses led them to become interested in the contemporary art market. They will reveal how they build or help build their collections, and what their criteria are for selecting specific works. The lecture series is aimed at the complete layman with an interest in art, as well as collectors who are puzzling over how to evaluate their collection or create a remarkable and unique collection.

The lectures will be given by gallerists Lucie Havlová and Tomáš Hendrych.

Since 2012, Lucie Havlová and Tomáš Hendrych have run the Kuzebauch Gallery in Prague's Břevnov district, which specialises in exceptional studio glass. The gallery emphasizes unique material processing and the combination of arts and crafts approach with artistic expression. It focuses on artists who approach glass as an artistic medium and helps to introduce their works not only to domestic but also to foreign collectors and professionals. Since 2020, they have also been working on the restoration of the historic Lemberk Granary, which they have turned into a space for sculpture exhibitions and interventions, large-scale objects and a sculpture park in its surroundings. This project combines respect for Czech glass craft and sculpture with a modern artistic approach, creating a unique environment where tradition and innovation find common ground.
