Jeho skutečná nevěsta Viktorie na něj mezitím čeká ve skutečném světě. Přestože se život v Zemi mrtvých ukáže být mnohem barvitější, než jeho striktní viktoriánská výchova, dospěje Viktor k závěru, že v tomto ani v dalších světech neexistuje nic, co by ho udrželo odloučeného od jeho skutečné lásky...
