The next edition of the Telegraph Film Festival (TEFF) and the accreditations are out! But what does that mean? That if you get one, you can experience the whole festival to the full - from films to exhibitions to various debates and workshops.
What does TEFF Accreditation get you?
Wednesday 8 10 - The festival kicks off with a Wednesday evening performance by mezzo-soprano Petra Beňová, accompanied by pianist Marie Jírová followed by the opening screening of the documentary, Read More Going Wild, in the Film Room.
Thursday 9 10 - The second day of the festival will begin at 4pm with a screening of the Telegraph-produced documentaries, CONNECTIONS: Making the Indescribable & GOOD BOY from Slovakia, which were produced as extensions to exhibitions held at the Telegraph Gallery. The pause between screenings will be filled with a lecture on the history of mirroring in cinema with Martin Jirousek. Another documentary of the day will be I, Claude Monet, which will tell the story of the life of the famous Impressionist painter. However, you can also look forward to a night of cinema, when the old familiar Matrix will be allowed on the screens.
Friday 10 10 - There will also be a family workshop and a panel discussion with esteemed guests, where the boundaries between documentary film and photography will be debated. The documentary of the day is a film that couldn't be more self-reflexive. The Czech Film Project asks the simple question "What is Czech film?" and 29 directors answer it.
Saturday 11 10 - The final day of this year's festival won't wait for anything. Right from the morning you will be guided through a photography workshop by Jan Šibík. Admission to the workshop is excluding accreditation and only for a limited number of participants. Afternoon puppet theatre for adults? Yes. The SORTS WITH BIRDS will perform a puppet show that you just don't see. We'll run to the very end of the festival with a preview of Continental '25, a foreign drama by a Romanian director, and we'll say goodbye to TEFF with DJ Weirdsky after the last film at Pulse restaurant.
ACCREDITATION & ADMISSION
1) FESTIVAL PASS (4 DAYS).
3) TICKETS for each item on the programme can be purchased at the Telegraph reception or online.
If you are planning to go to multiple events during the festival, it is definitely more worthwhile to get a pass. With an accreditation, you get free entry to all screenings and most side events, so you don't have to deal with each program separately and save time and money. Plus, you can enjoy the festival comfortably and to the fullest, without worrying if you'll miss something interesting.
