Patagonia, a country divided between two historic rivals, Argentina and Chile. Nature, however, knows no human boundaries and combines a world of vast wastelands, where here and there we see a guanaco llama with areas of breathtaking hills and spiky mountains. This is often accompanied by the added bonus of giant lakes, mighty glaciers and obscure clouds in the endless sky. The harmony of rawness and the beauty of wild nature plays out its daily drama here.

After three sell-out travel talks on China, Kazakhstan, Colombia and Iran, Radovan Jurka returns to the Telegraph with another account of his travels around the world.

Radovan Jurka

If it weren't for the covid, he'd be in his twentieth season as a tour guide. He specializes in the USA, western Canada, New Zealand and selected countries in South America. In his spare time, he likes to freewheel his pilgrimage through life to places mostly in Asia and South America, though the western US is buried deepest under his skin. He likes to try to gain perspective on life on the ridges and in the valleys of mountain ranges.

Programme subject to change.
