We're moving not only the movies outdoors as part of our summer cinema program, but also the music! At the end of August you can look forward to a double bill of regional songwriting legends. From the local area, Vlna will perform and from Zlín, the songwriting duo HZT - Searching for the Lost Tone will join us.
VLNA
VLNA is a musician from Olomouc, originally from Frýdek-Místek. He has been devoted to music since he was 20 years old. He went through several bands, with which he won the KRTEK award at the biggest now defunct festival ZAHRADA.
He was also awarded individually in the competition, for his singing performance. Now he plays alone or in two together with Vlasty Dvorsky, who accompanies him on the cajon. They play both original songs and covers by Czech and Slovak performers.
HZT - Searching for the Lost Tone
Yes. They are a band...
And yes - there are only two of them.
And yes... They lose notes and then search for them... Sometimes successfully, sometimes less so.
It took a three miler ( together, of course ) sometime at 3am in 2021 for this bizarre duo to start spitting catchy tunes out of their crowded creative bodies through every orifice.
But don't worry. All the lyrics are deep (literally) and on the level of... (the Dead Sea).
In short - It's a rehabilitation process after bilateral ablation and a two-stage lobotomy.
The frontman of the band, amateur doctor and demigod Jakub Janicek takes care of the beautiful lean guitar tones, and Nika Hauerlandová (and occasionally Kuba...) takes care of the epic, frenetic and charming look and vocals.
Many have said of HZT that this project is unrivalled and inimitable in its living room style, as he mimics well-known tunes and mainstream hits, but also swears at them - and unfairly. The topics they tackle cut as well as any hipster's sharpened knife after a month in the desert, and they cut into the live as successfully as a wooden spoon into the foam of a soy latte. In short, their show is well worth seeing.
Get a full tray of tomatoes (Nika is a vegetarian), get comfortable, order a beer and at least five shots, and seek out the Lost Tones with them.
