The guest of the September TTalk is only eighteen years old, Olomouc native and kayaker Matyáš Novák, who has already achieved many sporting successes. Since the beginning of his sports career, which can be counted from 2013, he has been riding for SK UP Olomouc. Since then he has won many valuable metals for his team. Several times he became national champion in the pupil categories and the winner of the overall Czech Cups in both slalom and downhill. From 2020 he is a member of the wider national team and from 2021 a member of the junior team in slalom and downhill. Among his achievements this year we mention first place at the Under-18 World Championships and victory at the National Adult Championships - in the sprint.
What's it like to do a top-level sport and study high school at the same time? How demanding is top-level canoeing in general and does Matyáš have time for any other hobbies?
