In cooperation with Na freelze, we are bringing a series of lectures by successful freelancers and independent professionals who will present their journey and how they grew on their own feet.
The fourth TELEGrowth lecture was given by journalist, commentator, writer and stand-up comedian Miloš Čermák. Miloš Čermák is an experienced editor who has held many editorial and editor-in-chief positions in his career. At the turn of the millennium, he worked at Reflex magazine, then as chief commentator at Lidové noviny, for a long time he was editor-in-chief of the news server iHNed.cz, and he writes commentaries for Seznam Zprávy. He has also worked for Czech Television and is co-owner of NextBig.cz.
He developed his collaboration with Luďek Staněk, which had already started at that time, and they started the podcast Čermák Staněk Comedy. As soon as they could, they pulled their heels out of the studio and began building the now-established stand-up brand of the same name.
Miloš Čermák is the winner of the Personality of the Year award in the Crystal Magnifying Glass poll and in 1988 he took part in the successful flight to Mars as part of the Štola 88 experiment.
The lecture is followed by a short debate where you can ask Miloš Čermák anything you can think of. How do you make a good joke, does Miloš Čermák's humour have any limits and what is it like to spend 21 days in the confined space of a "spaceship" with ten other men and one woman? Miloš Čermák will answer this and much more (if you ask him!).
