The series will present two short films. Electra, a new film by award-winning director Daria Kashcheeva, and Pro(s)thetic Dialogues, a film by interdisciplinary artist Gyorgy Bagdasarov.

Electrin complex in an electrifying film. A soul-searching theme of precocious adolescence meets explosive imagery, which the director uses to delve into the heroine's traumatic memories in all shades of monocle. Consistently playful and at times terrifying, the film is not just about finding a relationship with your own body.

PRO(S)THETIC DIALOGUES
The experimental work by the duo Alexandra Morales and Georgy Bagdasarov resembles a digital theatre performance taking place on a computer screen. The monologue of a morphing philosopher, artificially created from neural networks, generates texts in the thought paradigms of Willem Flusser, Günther Anders, Walter Benjamin, Hannah Arendt, Byung-Chul Han and many others, and is controlled by a human operator who explores the possibilities of performativity of generative systems.

This year, the third annual film showcase of films about visual art, art in film and video art is united by the theme "Within Reach." In fact, Up Close, our film festival this year will bring you up close to the personalities of the art world, and you'll even be able to enter some worlds in VR.
