A 1980s cult classic that needs no long introduction. Based on David Morrell's novel First Blood, it is now one of the classics of the action genre. The restored version is back in cinemas and you can enjoy it in the open air.

John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) is one of the Vietnam War veterans and founders of the Green Berets. He's somewhat disoriented in today's civilized world, hitchhiking from town to town and visiting friends from the war. In one small town, he runs into the local sheriff, Will Teasle. He doesn't exactly take to him. He tries to run him off, and when Rambo leaves town, he has him arrested for vagrancy and imprisoned. In jail, the deputy sheriff humiliates him for his "pleasure", which Rambo can't take anymore. He "remembers" his experiences in the Vietnamese jungle and uses them to escape into the local woods. The sheriff organizes an expedition to find Rambo and bring him back to prison. But Rambo's training makes him elusive - and he decimates the sheriff's men one by one. This case is out of Teasle's hands - and it's attracting unwanted publicity. So Colonel Trautman, Rambo's former commander, arrives in town because he may be the only one who can stop Rambo's personal war...
