The 1978 American musical Grease was one of the most viewed films in all countries at the time of its release. It was based on a successful stage play by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. The plot takes us to Rydell High School in the 1950s. Danny Zucco, a senior, reunites with his friends after the holidays. He amazes them by recounting his amorous adventure by the sea. A new pupil, Sandy, appears among the girls. She, too, boasts about her holiday encounter with a fantastic boy with whom she had a wonderful love story. When the "summer lovers" suddenly come face to face at Rydell, she almost loses her breath. But love in the new environment of school and lots of friends has very different rules than on a lonely sea beach. Starring the popular singing, acting and dancing duo of John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, who have become the idols of a younger generation with this film.
