Radovan Jurka: Journey to the Inca Empire - Peru and Bolivia

19 2 2026 / 18:00
cinema lecture

Despite the disruption wrought on this great South American civilization by Spanish colonization, we can still marvel in awe at the artisanal genius of the ancient builders and feel the strangely different flow of time in the proximity of these witnesses of times long past. Add to this the majesty of the local mountains and volcanoes, the colourfulness of the high lakes and the variety of colours of the clothing and the degree of civilisation of the local inhabitants, and we can embark on a truly unforgettable trip. Watches and a European sense of punctuality are best not taken on a journey across the zero meridian and zero parallel.

Radovan Jurka

Specializes in the USA, Western Canada, New Zealand and selected countries in South America. In his spare time, he likes to freewheelingly supplement his pilgrimage through life with places mostly located in Asia and South America, although the west of the USA is buried deepest under his skin.
