Gallery, singing, festival and voice.
The 5th edition of TEFF will open its programme in the gallery and Lucie Tallová's exhibition I Wish I Was Made of Stone will be transformed into an intimate stage. A small amphitheatre, the proximity of the audience...this is where the first notes of the festival can be heard.
Slovakian mezzo-soprano Petra Beňová, who has anchored her voice in operatic roles in Dvořák's Rusalka, Purcell's Dido and Aeneas and Puccini's Suor Angelica, will take the stage. This year, she drew attention to herself by winning second place in the Prague Singer competition and by collaborating with the Baroque Orchestra in Bach's Cantata.
Her firm and focused singing will be accompanied by pianist Marie Jírová, winner of the Novák Competition, finalist in the Beethoven's Castle Competition and teacher at the Ostrava Conservatory.
