Absolutely Nothing

The Telegraph Gallery is not only the space of our main exhibition hall, but it is also the platform that forms the program for several other floors of the whole house. And this time we decided to use the Telegraph Cinema for a short-term exhibition project by Polish visual artist Mateusz Dąbrowski.

Mateusz Dąbrowski (*1980, Warsaw) studied Printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where he is currently the head of the Serigraphy Studio. He works in painting, graphic design and printmaking, but also creates spatial objects and installations, which in some cases he moves using electromagnetic waves, infrasound or air movement. In this way he achieves the impression of the movement of a living organism. His work can be viewed from several interpretative levels, but rather than answers, the observer is presented with a series of questions. His themes include the phenomenon of time, movement and matter, i.e. the problem of looking at reality. He uses his experience in creating graphic matrices to experiment with different materials such as metal, wood, paper and plastic.
