Miss Novaková (Mia Wasikowska) comes to a prestigious boarding school to show students the latest food trends. She teaches them how to eat mindfully - less and better. Their new "sustainable" lifestyle is to free them from everything they have believed in until now. A dangerously strong bond soon develops between Miss Novak and the group of students. Before the other teachers and the busy parents realize what is happening, the situation spirals out of control. Director Jessica Hausner has made a raw and very topical thriller about the devastating power of authority and its magnetic pull during the fragile teenage years.
