It's 1917. Bakary Diallo (Omar Sy, best known for the hit film The Untouchables) enlists in the French army to join his 17-year-old son Thierry (Alassane Diong), who has been forcibly conscripted. Father and son are sent to the front to face the war together. Encouraged by the enthusiasm of his commanding officer, who wants to take him into the thick of the fighting, Thierno becomes independent and learns to be a man, while Bakary does everything he can to pull him out of the fighting and bring him home safe and sound.
