Three siblings arrive to visit their sad grandfather, who has recently been widowed. Before falling asleep, Zuzanka decides to conjure up fairy tales for the siblings from their grandmother's strawman using selected words, just as their beloved grandmother knew how to tell them. They embark on a magical journey that shows how storytelling can help them cope with life's challenges and find solace and hope in a world of fantasy.
