Princess Stella wakes up in a different form every day. Her eighteenth birthday is a week away, and if she can't be cured of this strange disease, she will be left with constant changes for the rest of her life. The king, queen and wise men try every possible cure and method - the next best hope, they say, is marriage. A sympathetic young man, Johan, wanders into the jousting tournament and wins the princess's hand, but draws the wrath of the dreaded Emperor Ukrut, who wanted the princess for himself! But even a quick wedding won't help the princess. Johan promises Stella that he will even go to the ends of the earth to find a cure for her. He is surprised to find that the princess herself secretly joins him on the way. She no longer trusts anyone but Johan... The worst thing is that she has to get to the dreaded Emperor Ukrut, who is said to have been cured of a similar disease. Johan and Stella have to overcome many obstacles, plus the cruel emperor's aide Ramor is on their heels. Along the way, the young people get to know each other and become closer, and eventually come to understand that the only cure for Stella's illness is love and faith in oneself.
