Although the term is bandied about by everyone, where it came from in America, what was behind the underground, who were its main representatives and what they were all about - that is what we will deal with in this introductory lecture. We'll cover underground film, music, literature, lifestyle - pretty wild, let's add. Come and find out where the term itself came from, how it was used and how it managed to shape the development of art in the twentieth century.
We will also set the scene for the next session, in which we will explore what impact and manifestations the underground had in our country.
