A guided tour of the exhibition Signal V with Jan Kudrna, curator of the exhibition and the Robert Runták Collection.
The exhibition Signal V: A Selection of Objects and Installations from the Robert Runták Collection actually has a rather ambivalent ambition. It sets out to present a selection of iconic, and for the most part very large-scale, installations within a relatively small space. Furthermore, it aims to demonstrate to many other collections the feasibility of this ‘plan’ and this way of thinking. To demonstrate the possibility of accommodating major works on a scale that significantly exceeds established conventions. In a sense, it represents a departure from the established comfort zone of collecting.
