The Italian president (Toni Servillo) faces one last tough decision before leaving office. On his desk are two pardon applications for love murders and one controversial law. To stop dithering over the right solution, he must first come to terms with the recent passing of his beloved wife and the suspicion that she has been unfaithful to him. But only one person knows the answer to the mystery that keeps him up at night.
