cinema art lecture

In the lecture series Collecting Contemporary Art, you will hear from both established and emerging collectors, as well as curators and specialists in contemporary art investment. They will share what first drew them to the contemporary art market, explain how they build or help shape collections, and describe the criteria they consider when selecting individual artworks.
The series is intended for complete beginners with an interest in art, as well as for collectors who are thinking about how to strengthen the value of their collection or how to create a distinctive and compelling one.

The lecture will be led by gallerist Nikolas Bernáth.

Nikolas Bernáth (1993) is the director of VUNU Gallery, which is based in Vienna, Bratislava, and Košice. He also works as a curator and as the editor-in-chief of New Translation magazine. His practice focuses on the concept of pseudodrama, which he approaches as a prism for reinterpreting the evolving relationship between art and life. He also explores themes of intra-action and performativity in relation to objects, bodies, and moving images.
