Oscar is a failed poet and professional loser. He still lives with his mother and, when he's not quoting himself, he staggers drunk through the streets of Medellín. An offer to mentor a young student gives him an unexpected chance to take his life into his own hands. Unless he messes up. Director Simón Mesa Soto's absurd comedy, which won the Jury Prize in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival, demonstrates with cutting irony how every good deed is accompanied by a cruel, yet strangely poetic retribution.
