Edward is a writer. His book, very successful in Ireland, is about to enter the American market. And he's about to go on a book tour overseas. But he also has a mother who is recovering from a stroke, and she is adamant in demanding his care. And as if the situation weren't complicated enough, his friends decide to fly to Spain for an impromptu Pride holiday without warning, leaving his mother on his doorstep, or rather in his living room. So, during a chaotic weekend, Edward has to juggle his promising career with looking after four eccentric, combative and completely different ladies.
