Grief is a strange drug. It gets under the skin, survives in the chambers of the heart, distorts reality. How do you cope with the sudden death of a young girl and the questions that persist a year later? The girl's mother, little sister and the girl's former boyfriend grieve alone at first, but later they all set off together to distant Tenerife, where feelings of guilt, the possibility of forgiveness and mysterious scenes from the past materialize. The film is driven by quietly captivating energy, authentic emotions and breathtaking moments when the craft of film becomes sacred magic. It constantly casts rays of light deep into the shadows of the human soul and becomes the cinematic equivalent of the sun that never sets.
