Edward Hopper is one of America's most critically acclaimed artists, and one of the most respected by the general public. His idiosyncratic depiction of everyday American life has influenced a vast number of painters, photographers, musicians and filmmakers (Mark Rothko, Banksy, Alfred Hitchcock and David Lynch, to name a few). But who really was this arguably most inspiring American artist of all time? Director Phil Grabsky brings a unique perspective to Hopper's work and personal life. He explores his strong relationship with American architecture, nature, and most importantly, his wife Jo, who was a key support and inspiration in his life and artistic career.
