The Telegraph Gallery lecture series brings together contemporary art collectors, curators and other experts who participate in the functioning of the contemporary art scene and share their practical experience.
The speaker will be entrepreneur, philanthropist, and art collector Silvia Kušnírová.
Silvia Kušnírová has dedicated her professional life to political journalism, PR, media and philanthropy. She is the founder of SKPR STRATEGIES, one of the leading Slovak public relations consulting companies.
She has also been involved in philanthropy for a long time. She is a member of the board of directors of the civic association Divé maky, which supports talented children and young people from Roma communities, and the board of directors of the civic association Raná starostlivosti, which helps families of children with visual impairments and other disabilities and runs an Early Intervention Center.
She has received several awards for her journalistic work, including the Eurotelevision Award and the Open Society Foundation Award. She was also the first in Slovakia to receive the prestigious Global SABRE Award for a PR project.
Her great passion is contemporary art. Together with Petr Lukeš, she founded the private gallery and platform Collective, which supports contemporary visual art. She is also a co-organizer of the prestigious Oskar Čepan Award.
