The story takes place in the near future. The reclusive and nerdy Andriy Melnyk transports nuclear waste on a spaceship to one of the moons of the planet Jupiter. His only company is the on-board computer Maxim. During one of the routine flights, the Earth explodes for unknown reasons and he is the only survivor. He tries unsuccessfully to find other survivors until he receives an unexpected call from Catherine at the French space station. Andrij decides to find her against all odds, but there's a catch.

Відлюдькуватий український далекобійник Андрій протягом двох років летить на космічному вантажному судні до найближчої чорної діри. Разом із бортовим комп’ютером Максимом, якого запрограмовано розважати пілота, вони мають скинути в чорну діру контейнери з ядерними відходами. Але раптом планета Земля вибухає, і Андрій залишається єдиною людиною у Всесвіті, доки на зв’язок із ним не виходить лаборантка французької космічної станції Катрін. Андрій та Катрін вирішують летіти назустріч одне одному. Ця подорож триває три довгих роки, протягом яких герої закохуються.
