Stanislav Ondruš
Out and Closer

3
cinema exhibition POP-UP art opening

The Telegraph Gallery is not only the space of our main exhibition hall, but it is also the platform that forms the program for several other floors of the whole house. And this time, we decided to replace the films in the Telegraph cinema with visual art from the third to the ninth of February, with a short-term exhibition project by visual artist Stanislav Ondrus.

Stanislav Ondruš (*1995) is a graduate of the Bachelor's degree programme at the Zbyněk Janáček Studio of Graphic Arts, Faculty of Arts, University of Ostrava. Subsequently, he completed his master's studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava in the studio of Painting III by Rastislav Podhorský. His work deals with the essence of experiencing the present moment, which he expresses in minimalist language and gestural painting and drawing. He is characterized by monochromatic colour. Ondruš's works are created by movement, as a certain agency carrier. Returning to the same place - home, repeating one and the same mistake or correcting it, copying others, becoming independent, cycling and individualizing one's own path. These are the stimuli that constantly compel Ondrus to create, rethink and express his opinion through the medium of visual art. With the exhibition Out and Closer he demonstrates the connection of image and painting principles with the paths of life.
